smk methodist banting: MES PAVILION

MES pavilion is a small-scaled realised project in a local secondary school in Banting, Selangor. The idea is to create a temporary pavilion that could accommodate the daily student activities as the secondary school has a shortage of available space of student's recreational activities.

​

An ultra low cost project, the principle challenge was to balance budget and utility while still preserving the fun, vibrant vibe of the school. It is a joint effort between Taylor's University and SMK Methodist, with both student bodies cooperating in the designing, installation and maintenance of the structure.

​

MES pavilion incorporates various technologies such as vertical gardens and even an experimental rainwater harvesting system.
