PAVILIONNOW 2018 - BRICK CHORD

Faced with an overwhelming supply of used brick from a recent exhibition, we are left wondering just what to do with it. 

​

An idea came - to build something to challenge people's expectations of this lowly material. In the spirit of its original use, and alongside the loving patronage of Datin Dr. Shalini Ganendra of SGFA gallery, we present BRICK CHORD.

A simple Parametric wall hand laid brick by brick, intimate spaces are created just via the magic of mathematical algorithms. Bold cantilevers rarely seen built just by shear strength of brick bond alone are also exhibited here.
