Above the Rails: A design study on utilizing ‘free space’ above railway tracks.

The objective for “Above the Rails” is to provide an affordable transitional home with a desirable co-living condition and invigorating lifestyle for young professionals in the city. Modern amenities such as maker-spaces, co-working spaces are introduce to drive an entrepreneurship community, where a coexistence between live-work environment would allow the development to exists more sustainably. Tenants in the commune are given a maximum lease of 5 years. Within these 5 years, they have access to all the amenities and needs for them to share resources within the community. It is in hope that after the lease ends, they would have enough resources to purchase their first home
