sekinchan observation deck: ODE TO THE FISHERMAN

When on thinks of Sekinchan, they think of vast expenses of green, the beaches and idyllic villages. But rarely, if ever, will one mention the maritime traditions present. Sekinchan fishermen are faced with policies, weather and manpower problems, while gentrification threatens to drive them out of their tradition. 

​

This design is a monument to these unsung. It is an acknowledgement of their contributions, and a love letter to their traditions. Nothing more than a simple statement, this is an Ode To The Fisherman.
